Interested in becoming a promotional model? 6 years ago

CEA receives hundreds of inquiries from talent asking us how to apply for events and promotions and what promotional models do. We decided to clarify some things about the business and what we are looking for when hiring talent! Here are some helpful tips on how to become a successful promotional model in the industry.

What is a promotional model?

A promotional model is an individual hired to represent a brand or services by using themselves as live marketing tools to create awareness and buzz about a business. They are expected to be articulate, intelligent, extremely outing, and understand that they have been hired to be a voice for the brand. Promotional models are also referred to as brand ambassador and can be both male and female.

What sort of jobs are out there for promotional models?

Promotional modeling is most definitely not your typical 9 to 5 job. Being in this industry you are asked to have a flexible schedule because promotions can start anywhere from 6am to 10pm depending on the type of event you are working. These events can last anywhere from 2 to 12 hours and pay anywhere from $15- $30+ dollars and hour. This industry is perfect for someone who has open availability, an infectious personality, is reliable, and a person who likes to have fun while meeting dozens of new people on a daily basis.
