Look Good For Your Summer Promotions!
Everyone wants to look amazing for the summer. Summer is one of the busiest times for brand ambassadors, promotional models, and trade show models across the states. Allow us to give you a few tips on how you can look spectacular this summer for all of your summer events and promoitons!
Work Out On The Treadmill – If you have a busy schedule, but enjoy going to the gym. Try this tip: Hop onto the treadmill while holding a pair of 3-5lb dumbells. Set the speed to a fast walk and do a one minute set each of shoulder presses, biceps curls, triceps extensions, side laterals, front laterals and standing triceps kickbacks one after another as you walk. It's an excellent upper body workout. Do this 2-3 times per week while also extending your time per series.
Chart Your Progress – Like everything else, write down your progress and your goals. This is just a good reminder for yourself to accomplish what you want done and to form your body into the perfect fit for the summer!
Take This Jump-Rope Challenge – This is possibly one of the best cardio workouts you can do. You'll burn around 30 calories per minute. All you have to do is do a basic jump for five minutes then jump twice as high and turn the rope twice as fast so it passes under your feet twice before you touch the floor again. Not only do you burn a bunch of calories, this exercise takes timing, patience, and power.
Improve Your Running Routine – Skip the long steady runs and try one minute sprints. After each sprint, slow down to catch your breath, and sprint again. Sprinting builds more muscle than regular running does. Get those legs in shape!
Don't Overwork Yourself – I'm sure everyone has heard about the 80/20 rule. If not, the 80/20 rule is to exercise 80% of the year and rest 20% of it. So that means in that 20% you can pretty much eat all those foods you've wanted all year long! Then you can burn off those calories later.
Don't Forget About Protein – If you're going to work out for 90 minutes or more, drink a protein drink or eat a protein bar before you work out. Yes, before. Think of your body as if it were a car. If your car is out of gas, you're not going to go very far, right? It works the same way as your body, your body needs “fuel” for it to run. So take some protein before you workout.
